The New York Times reports that just a few miles from the Cleveland downtown, recently getting a $50 million make-over, hundreds of dilapidated homes are getting torn down. The long shadow of the predatory lending of in the run-up to the 2008 global financial crisis resulted in blighted neighborhoods.
