It made me wonder which is the highest mountain in Colorado, and the answer is in the next picture.Mount Elbert (indicated by A) is the highest peak in the Rocky Mountains at 14,440 feet (4,401 m). It is in the Mt Massive Wilderness Area, just about in the center of the rectangular shaped state of Colorado. The famous ski resort of Aspen is located just about 30 miles west of Mt Elbert.
